Royals, they’re just like us. While this statement is far from true most of the time, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge brought it a little closer on Sunday when she took an economy flight.
Spotted by passengers, the British royal was joined by her two younger children, seven-year-old Princess Charlotte, and four-year-old Prince Louis, who flew to Scotland to spend the remainder of the summer with the Queen at Balmoral. Prince William, Duke of Cambridge is known to have traveled separately from his wife, with the couple’s eldest child, nine-year-old Prince George. The Duchess was also accompanied by the children’s nanny and security personnel, according to a fellow traveler, who was quick to share a video of the royalty once they had de-boarded the plane.

The user who posted the video to TikTok commented, “[Kate Middleton] could get a private jet or helicopter but keeping it simple, flying economy. She even got up halfway through the flight to get her daughter’s iPad. And yes she was stunning, even gave me a smile while looking back at row behind her to talk to her son.” The user added, “No one on board took any photos or videos. Just a mum taking her children on holiday to see grandmother but there was a buzz onboard. She was very discreet while looking stunning. There was an aura around her.”

The summer trip for the family of five precedes their move out of London to Windsor, which would make them closer to the Queen, who recently moved to Windsor Castle full-time. A senior royal source told ABC News that the royal couple wants to give their children as normal an upbringing as possible. An official statement from Kensington Palace informs that the royal children will be enrolling in the Lambrook School in Berkshire, which is a 15-minute drive from their new home of Adelaide Cottage.
