Ever wondered what Jennifer Lopez’s home life looks like? The star joined Reese Witherspoon on her new Instagram Live series, Shine on at Home, and spoke candidly about her family, workout routine and her upcoming Quibi series, Thanks a Million. Her lush Miami garden was the backdrop to the virtual catch-up, and viewers were also given a glimpse of J-Lo’s #WFH style – a strappy black top and her signature gold hoops.
When asked about her fitness routine, J-Lo confessed that she now feels not installing a home gym was an “oversight”. Instead, the singer has been attempting to find “less populated” running spots. “I’m just trying to find places to do my workout because it really keeps my mind right. It really makes me calm, and it quells all the thoughts that you’re having. It really keeps me happy, and that’s important right now. The fitness part of it.” Reese recommended choreographer Ryan Heffington’s active digital workouts to the star, telling her, “He’s so fun!”
The actors discussed their respective quarantine parenting struggles, and how they are managing to keep their children busy. “What even is Spring Break?” Reese laughed, while J-Lo – a mother to twins and stepmother to her partner Alex Rodriguez’s two children, admitted, “My kids miss their friends.” Documentaries, board games and retro films including Funny Girl and Gigi have been sources of entertainment for the Lopez-Rodriguez clan, and they’ve also enjoyed Witherspoon’s rom-com classic, Legally Blonde. Lopez told her fellow star, “You were so amazing in that,” and urged her to make Legally Blonde 3. For her part, J-Lo is looking forward to touring, “when the world gets back in order.”
