American pop star Jennifer Lopez will soon bring her powerhouse vocals to the region. On August 9, Lopez is all set to have her first-ever concert in Egypt as part of her “It’s My Party” world tour. The star is currently on a 25-city tour of US, Canada, Turkey, Egypt, and Russia in celebration of her big 50th birthday, which she rang in on July 24 dressed in custom Versace for her party at Star Island, Miami. Middle Eastern fans of the Jenny From The Block singer can expect the same levels of energy and glitz at her concert in Egypt with Lopez putting on a show featuring her breathtaking choreography, incredible production and set design, a stunning wardrobe, and a non-stop party mix of new and classic J Lo anthems. The songstress will be performing her latest single Medicine which features American rapper French Montana.

Ever since the announcement was made by the event organizer Venture Lifestyle, the people of Egypt have been anticipating the star’s arrival in the country which is seeing an increasing amount of concerts by international artists such as Tyga, Inna, Nelly, and Zhavia. Though it will be her first concert in Egypt, it won’t be her first time performing in the Middle East. The ageless Latina previously took the stage at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena in November 2017 and also turned heads in the city dressed in a printed backless gown by Versace.

Over the years, Lopez has cemented her status as a fashion icon through her outfits that often make headlines with their glamor. Versace and Tom Ford are only a few names which have helped the star achieve this — the list includes Middle Eastern talent since Lopez is not only a fan of international labels but also Arab designers, with her championing them on multiple occasions. Her favorite, however, is Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad as she admits to Rabih Mockbel of Venture Lifestyle in the interview: “I love Zuhair, he’s probably my favorite.” On June 3, the CFDA honored Lopez with the prestigious Fashion Icon award for her longstanding and global impact on fashion. “Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power,” CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg had said. “Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements.”

Lopez has also made a mark in the music industry, which has led her to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Billboard Icon Award, and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award among others. Her list of achievements also includes clothing lines, fragrances, a production company, and a charity named The Lopez Family Foundation.

Her most successful singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 have been, If You Had My Love, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, I’m Real, Ain’t It Funny, Jenny from the Block, All I Have, and On the Floor, which is also one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Lopez has recently finished filming for her upcoming movie Hustlers which will premiere in the US on September 13. Inspired by a viral New York magazine article, the movie stars Constance Wu, Cardi B, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, Julia Stiles, and Madeline Brewer.
