As Jennifer Lopez turned 54, the star celebrated the occasion in a way befitting her status as a Leo icon. Sartorial excellence, Mediterranean flair, and table-top dancing were just some of the highlights at the party hosted by her husband Ben Affleck.
The entertainer shared an inside look at the celebration through the latest edition of her On the JLo newsletter. Starting it off by sharing her gratitude towards fans, she then dived into all the details. Hosted at the Wallingford Estate – Lopez and Affleck’s new multi-million dollar mansion – the party was planned to perfection by the Gone Girl actor, and had a “Mediterranean chic” theme dominated by flowers, sunshine, charcuterie boards, and of course, the ocean.

“I felt so appreciated and acknowledged by my loved ones, and I’m extremely grateful to be where I am today at this point in my life’s journey with so many beautiful, caring people to share it all with,” said Lopez. It is apparent that the day was all about love and kinship as the “On the Floor” singer was surrounded by close family and friends including the five children that she and Affleck are raising together – Lopez’s twins, Emme and Maximillion, and Affleck’s three children, Violet, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel.
Another highlight was certainly the tabletop dancing by Lopez, proving just why she is considered an impeccable dancer; age is certainly not going to slow this star down. Of course, there is also the sartorial inspiration we have come to expect from her. Opting for a shimmering white backless gown and a black Valentino swimsuit exalted by a kaftan, Lopez painted the perfect picture of summer bliss.
