Here’s Your Guide to The Most Exciting Events in Jeddah This Summer

The “Jeddah Season: Festival of Sea and Culture” is taking place between June 8 and July 18 in Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom has come out with plenty of activities to entertain guests. And with everything that’ll be taking place during the 40-day entertainment extravaganza, it’s hard to decide what to go to first. Here’s our pick of the most exciting events from the Jeddah Season.

Concerts on concerts

Where else could you find a place that’ll host performances by Ahlam, Mohamed Abdu, Nancy Ajram, and Amr Diab? Saudi Arabia’s very first music festival is captivating residents and tourists alike with the sounds of household names in Arab music.

Fine cuisine

World-renowned tastemakers like Signor Sassi, Nobu, Scalini, and Zuma will be serving up delectable dishes from all over the world to festivalgoers. If you’d like a meal that’s more down-to-earth, street vendors will be open for business until 2 a.m. so you can enjoy the sights of the Jeddah Season while you nosh on Saudi Arabian street fare.

Kanz-Al-Balad Scavenger Hunt

This kid-friendly scavenger hunt will be taking place daily throughout the duration of the festival from 5 pm to 11 pm. The aim of this event is for your children to get an opportunity to interact with Jeddah’s businesses and learn how to use their creativity and problem-solving skills. Participants are split up into groups and tasked with finding hidden objects with the help of clues.

Al Ozwa Street Performance

History aficionados will love the Al Ozwa Street Performance, which is about a man named Omar and is set in a society from 100 years ago. Omar is preparing to get married, but suddenly encounters a dilemma unrelated to his engagement ceremony. The audience is put to the task of getting him out of the trouble he’s in so his engagement ceremony can go off without a hitch.

Lots of Laughs

Family-friendly comedy shows at the picturesque Jeddah Waterfront? Sign us up. Comedy club Laugh Factory of Los Angeles fame will be presenting comedy shows in collaboration with XJed from 23 June to 18 July. Get ready for them to bring the laughs.
