Vogue Arabia’s second cover star, Imaan Hammam, shared a few of her favorite things in a recent on-set interview with Vogue.me: from her mother’s home-cooked dish that she cannot get enough of (couscous) to her ultimate workout song (“Bad and Boujee” by Migos). This week on Instagram, the Vogue model shared with her 472,000 followers, “And thannnnn this happpendddd!!! Mama is in town😍😍😍 #COUSCOUS” confirming her top Maghrebi dish. Clearly, a true favorite in her family kitchen.
A shot of the dish sits among the star’s reel of posts that share an insight into the high-life of one of the industry’s leading models. But it serves as a reminder that no matter how many cover shoots Hammam adds to her portfolio, the simple things in life matter most. This is not the first time the Brandon Maxwell runway model has shared glimpses of her family life on social media. From her HBD tribute to her brother and posts saluting her heritage, @ImaanHammam’s account features life in fashion’s fast lane with a side of heartiness.
It was also revealed this week that the Moroccan-Egyptian model is on the December cover of US Vogue with artist and Chanel front-row favorite Pharrell Williams. Hammam commented, “ALL the feels celebrating my @voguemagazine December cover with the one and only @pharrell. Can’t believe this is my fourth/third cover! I’m completely overwhelmed with joy and love for my vogue family! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” That’s a serious amount of heart emoji taps.
