Huda Kattan and sister Mona Kattan were all smiles and laughter in sequined gowns by Michael Cinco and Zuhair Murad respectively last night, while attending the second edition of the Vogue Ball of Arabia at Raffles The Palm Dubai. The duo, who also co-chaired the event, took to the red carpet to share lots of interesting snippets from their lives, from the sweet story behind Mona’s relationship and engagement, to the beauty tips they’ve both learned from each other.
While chatting with Vogue Arabia, Huda Kattan revealed that she has always wanted to wear a design by UAE-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco, who she championed last night in a gown glimmering with hues of gold, subtle green and turquoise. Her look was complemented by smokey eyes and wet look hair. Standing by her side, Mona Kattan was celebrated one of the event’s co-chairs, Zuhair Murad, in a full-sleeved gown embellished with pink and green rhinestones. Her hair was pulled up in a half-up pony tail which made way for her tassle earrings to shine through.
As the siblings shared sisterly banter in front of the cameras—which they like to describe as “raw”–Mona revealed that the one beauty trick Huda has taught her is how to be softer with her hands while applying products. As for Huda, the beauty mogul shared that Mona has helped her perfect the art of layering perfumes. “Trends don’t matter, Mona does not care about trends,” Huda added.

Recently engaged, Mona Kattan also opened up about her relationship with Dubai-based business man Hassan El-Amin at the Ball of Arabia. She revealed that her journey has been “tough” and this new chapter of life was one she never saw coming. “Just keep an open heart, an open mind, and never give up on finding someone who makes you feel like the best version of yourself,” she said in a word of advice. Adding to that, Huda revealed: “Mona had a crush on her fiancé for the longest time.” Who knew?
