Tonight in Riyadh, a Saudi government official will cut the ribbon to open the new exhibition by surrealist artist and Vogue Arabia cover star HRH Princess Hayfa bint Abdullah Al Saud.
“I speak through my paintbrush, by reaching a depth of imaginations that paint what my soul sees blindly,” states HRH Princess Hayfa ahead of her show. The exhibition, which is expected to draw dignitaries and VIPs in the world of art and fashion will showcase the daughter of the late King Abdullah’s surrealist style.
In Vogue Arabia’s June 2018 issue, HRH Princess Hayfa appeared on the cover and–commemorating the lift on the ban of Saudi women driving–behind the wheel of a car. The groundbreaking issue made international headlines. Inside the issue, she spoke to Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut on her beginnings in art and how they started under the tutelage of Saudi artist Mona Al-Qasabi, an encounter that “changed her life forever.”
Her education continued at the Academy of Art University at San Francisco Art School with her graduating in 2015. Her work has since been showcased in group and solo shows in New York and Jeddah with proceeds often going to charity.
