Fans of the TV show Friends could hardly contain their excitement when the highly-awaited reunion’s trailer was released. Adding on to it, it has been announced that the reunion will be premiering in the Middle East exclusively on OSN at the same time as the world release. This means that fans in the region can tune into the show via the streaming platform when it launches this Thursday, May 27.
After many postponements, all six cast members of the iconic NBC sitcom have finally come together for a one-off, unscripted, and nostalgia-inducing special. Titled Friends: The Reunion, the HBO Max show sees Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Matthew Perry (Chandler), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), David Schwimmer (Ross), and Matt LeBlanc (Joey) come together on the original sound stage of the show in Burbank, Los Angeles. The actors visit the famed loft, recreate memorable scenes from the show, re-read lines, and even sit down for an interview with television host James Corden. This is when viewers might get the answer to the polarizing question from the actors themselves: Were Ross and Rachel really on a break?

While it is no secret that the actors formed strong friendships during the show’s 10-year run, viewers will get to see just how close they really are. “It was an incredible time, we became best friends,” Cox can be seen saying in the trailer, while elsewhere Buffay admits, “We have such a bond from this show,” and in a group hug, an emotional Aniston says, “I love you guys so much.”
The special was filmed earlier this year with 18 celebrity guests including stars from the show like Tom Selleck (Richard), Maggie Wheeler (Janice), as well as musical artists BTS, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and more. All in all, the reunion show is slated to be an hour filled with laughter and happy tears that are sure to satisfy those asking for a reunion ever since Friends came to an end in 2004.
Friends: The Reunion will be available to stream in the Middle East on OSN and in the US on HBO Max on May 27.
