From Michelin-starred places to vibrant beachside spots, here are some of Dubai’s hottest restaurants to visit this weekend.
Row on 45
In Dubai’s burgeoning restaurant scene, few places leave a lasting impression, and Row on 45 by chef Jason Atherton promises to create a cherished memory. Earning Two Michelin Stars this year, Row on 45 — meaning Refinement of Work — takes diners on a true culinary journey inspired by Atherton’s global inspirations, and seats only 22 discerning guests at a time. The dinner is divided into three exhilarating acts, each one allowing diners to explore a different part of the penthouse-inspired setting overlooking glittering views of the Dubai Marina. Act I: ‘The Finest Welcome’ begins in the Lounge with bite-sized appetizers showcasing incredible technique, while Act II: ‘The Pinnacle’ in the main dining room sees guests sitting across a mesmerizing show kitchen with chefs hard at work. For the final Act III: ‘The Grand Finale’, guests are taken to the Chef’s Library, where classic British and Japanese desserts are paired with comforting teas.
Throughout the three acts, diners are served 17 courses, with the last remaining a surprise. The menu itself is revealed to guests upon arrival to keep the exclusivity, although diners also have the choice of opening the sealed envelope on their table to see the star ingredients used in the dinner. The newly-launched menu at Row on 45 includes highlights like the Amaebi — sweet shrimp from Ishikawa Prefecture; Saroma Wagyu, an A5 Wagyu from Lake Saroma; and pre-dessert with Shizuoka Musk Melon and Hokkaido milk ice cream. The restaurant offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus, both served with an incredible grape selection by head sommelier, Lorenzo Abussi, and an equally delightful non-alcoholic pairing.
