It’s time to grab your magic wands, spells, and invisibility cloaks, because a Harry Potter reunion will be enchanting the screens of OSN on January 1, 2022. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is a Potter special that taps into the magical world of witchcraft and wizardry, and covers the process of creating the eight movie franchise, which ended in a final battle against Lord Voldemort.
The reunion will bring back the movie’s main stars—Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, along with Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), who will be joined by director Christopher Colombus. Columbus and other cast members will spill exclusive tea from behind the scenes of the films, with in-depth interviews honoring the release of the first Harry Potter movie back in 2001.
Although the franchise ended in 2011, the spark still lives on among the cast, crew and passionate Harry Potter fans all over the world. The director recalls the sets for the movies as being “the greatest playground in the world”. Radcliffe was only 11 when he starred in the first release, and he remembers that every part of his life at that point became connected to Potter. “It all spirals out from the Potter set somewhere,” he said in the reunion, according to advance excerpts.
Though the movie series is based on J.K. Rowling’s world-famous fantasy novels, the author will not be making an appearance during the reunion. She will, however, be mentioned in an archive.
