As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settle into their new home in California after officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family earlier this year, they may soon be welcoming a new neighbor into their midst: Mohamed Hadid. The American-Palestinian real estate mogul renowned for his luxury developments around the world and father to Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid is reportedly turning to his current Hollywood hometown to build a four-story “mega-mansion” on a 100-acre plot primely located next to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s current living arrangement.

Hadid’s latest project is still in the early stages with 15 bedrooms, 22 bathrooms, and two swimming pools expected to complete the 55,000sqft Beverly Hills property, but it’s unclear if the former Vogue Man Arabia cover star expects to live in the multi-million dollar abode himself. Although these plans are years in the making, work has allegedly been halted at this moment over multiple permit disputes with Los Angeles officials with no resumption date in sight as of yet.

Harry, Meghan, and their recently turned one-year-old son Archie have been living in American actor Tyler Perry’s estate within an exclusive gated neighborhood filled with celebrity A-listers after moving stateside from Canada this past March. While the royal couple strives to build a new life for their small family that is financially independent of the British crown, they will continue to support and various philanthropic projects that hold significance to their hearts, including coronavirus relief funds such as the Save with Stories initiative Markle participated in a few weeks ago to mark Archie’s first birthday. Last month, the Duke and Duchess also unveiled Archewell, a new charity organization named after their first child, which they hope to launch in the coming future “to do something of meaning, to do something that matters.”
