Supermodels Bella and Gigi Hadid took to Instagram to honor their dad, Palestinian real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid to celebrate his birthday (November 8).

Hadid turned 72 on a historical day – Joe Biden won the 2020 election, becoming the 46th President, and Kamala Harris became the first woman, and woman of color to become Vice President. However, Bella, Gigi and their half-sisters Alana and Marielle Hadid (there mother is Mary Butler) managed to take a brief break from discussing American politics to share a family meal with their “baba”, as well as praise him on social media with cute nostalgia posts.

Bella Hadid posted a series of adorable posts celebrating her father throughout the years, while her Insta Stories revealed how the family marked his big day with a traditional Palestinian feast, with Bella writing, “I love learning how to cook Palestinian food with you. Thank you for teaching me about our culture. I love Palestine and you so much. Your roots will forever be intertwined within our family line. It’s my favorite part about us.”

Meanwhile new mom, Gigi Hadid posted an image of herself as a child lying on top of the new granddad, lounging on a boat’s sundeck, saying, “Wishing a year of joy to my amazing daddio, my baby’s sweet Jido.” Daughter Alana, who recently went to Bethlehem with Mohamed Hadid for new cookbook Craving Palestine, called her father a visionary, while Marielle credited Hadid for having, “more swagger than Jagger.”
