13 Golden Globe 2022–Nominated Movies and TV Shows That You Can Stream Right Now

The Golden Globe–nominated movies of 2022 are an impressive bunch—and so are the TV shows. It remains unclear at this point whether the Golden Globes ceremony is happening, as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association came under fire earlier this year for its lack of diversity. The organization is making progress, and that’s evident in this year’s nominees. But stay tuned to see whether a live broadcast is put on the books.

Cruella

Nominated for: Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Emma Stone)

Synopsis: Emma Stone stars as Cruella de Vil in this villain origin story, tracking the fashion designer’s journey from obscurity to success. And most important: It explores how she became so enamored with Dalmatians—and their fur. Synopsis: A coming-of-age story about a child of deaf adults. Critic and writer Emily Tannenbaum said in her review of the movie for Glamour, “This aching authenticity is exactly what writer-director Siân Heder and the entire cast of CODA brought to the film that took it from a trope-heavy coming-of-age story with an endearing, folksy soundtrack to a film deserving of the $25 million record-breaking sale to Apple TV+ after its award-winning Sundance debut.”
