If Zayn Malik really is dating Selena Gomez, that’s totally fine with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid.

According to a source that spoke with Us Weekly, Hadid just wants the father of her two-year-old daughter Khai to be “happy and stable.” The 27-year-old model and the 30-year-old “Pillowtalk” singer dated on and off for around six years, welcoming their only child on September 23, 2020. They called it quits just over a year later in October 2021.
Since their split, Hadid was briefly linked to 48-year-old actor Leonardo DiCaprio in the fall of 2022, though the rumored relationship reportedly fizzled out. Now it seems it’s Malik’s turn to make headlines after a viral TikTok alleged he was making out with 30-year-old pop star Selena Gomez at a New York City restaurant on March 23.
“Gigi has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating,” a source told Us Weekly. “As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to Khai, she’s fine with whoever he goes out with.”

Earlier this month, Gigi Hadid opened up about co-parenting with Zayn Malik during an interview with The Sunday Times. Hadid told the publication that they always keep Khai’s “happiness at the forefront” of their minds. “You have a long life alongside this person,” Hadid said. “That she can be with both parents makes me very happy.” When it comes to her busy work schedule, Hadid noted that she tries to schedule her modeling jobs and other business-related trips “when Khai is with her dad.”
Hadid also shared that Khai has inherited “little bits” of Malik’s British upbringing. “She’s clearly a child who was grown in my stomach eating a lot of British food—breakfast, beans, curries. And she still eats like that,” she said. “She even says some words with a little [English] accent, which I love.”
