This week, in an array of stories and posts, Gigi Hadid gave her fans a glimpse into her gorgeous apartment in New York that she spent a year decorating and curating. Hadid, who is currently expecting her first child with British-Pakistani singer Zayn Malik, posted images of her colorful home, revealing that her apartment underwent major decorative renovations just before quarantine. She shared the final results of a year’s worth of work on her Instagram, and captioned the post, “Spent all of last year designing and curating my passion project/dream spot. Of course, it all came together right before quarantining out of the city… but I’m excited for the time I’ll get to spend enjoying all the special corners that were made with a lil help from some of my favourite creatives who embraced my ideas and didn’t call me crazy .”
According to the New York Post, Hadid owns two units in the building that she lives in and reportedly plans on combining them. Her first apartment, bought for $3.97 million back in 2015, is a two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom unit with a chef’s kitchen. The second unit, a $5.82 million townhouse in the building, is three bedrooms, 3.5-bathroom, and includes a landscaped private terrace with a fire pit, barbecue grill, and outdoor refrigerator. This appears to be the unit she’s showcasing on her Instagram.
Hadid’s home was styled with a tasteful array of primary colors and earth tones to showcase her eclectic taste. She began the virtual tour with a glimpse of her living room and her segmented Missoni sofa, which featured cushions in different colors and designs, along with a colorful Jean-Paul Gaultier throw pillow, a wooden coffee table, her pasta-facade cabinets, perfume shelf, and art pieces decorated the nooks and corners of her home.
Elsewhere in her home, she had rough sanded wooden shelves and a black cabinet with chicken wire displays filled with rustic knickknacks. She also posted pictures of one of her bathrooms, which she covered with colorful clippings of old New Yorker covers. She concluded the display with a breathtaking view of her master bathroom with marble countertops, dark wood drawers, and a bathtub that overlooks the stunning New York skyline.
Hadid’s new home makeover comes just a couple of months before she is expected to give birth to her and Malik’s baby girl in September.
