In an evening full of excitement and glamour, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam hosted the third edition of Vogue’s Ball of Arabia to celebrate the Golden Age of Arab entertainment and its leading stars. In the presence of the region’s most famous faces, three legendary divas who continue to inspire the new generation of talents were honored for their remarkable achievements and careers: Egyptian actor Nabila Ebeed, Tunisian singer Latifa, and Lebanese model and Miss Universe Georgina Rizk.
Tunisian model Rym Saidi took the stage to host another icon who was honored during the ball, Miss Universe Georgina Rizk. Presenting the award, Saidi said: “Being a model, in the Arab world, is not always easy. There are obstacles, challenges and pressures. However, the next honoree has overcome them all. Personally, I remember as a young girl the excitement and pride of saying that one of the beauty icons in the world is an Arab woman”.
The ever-beautiful Georgina Rizk appeared before the audience, greeting everyone. “No words can express how happy I am.” She thanked Vogue Arabia’s team and the editor-in-chief, Manuel Arnaut, and expressed gratitude for the unique experience she had with them. Rizk showed pride in the Arab and in particular the Lebanese talents and the achievements they made. She also talked about her love for her home country. “I have lived far away from Lebanon for years and now I’m back to my homeland. I invite all the Lebanese living abroad to come back because their country needs them to rise.”
