This week, The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle returned to the United States for the first time since the royal wedding. During her whirlwind visit, the royal was reportedly spotted at Ladurée SoHo, The Met Breuer, and at Bonpoint, a high-end children’s clothing boutique. But the biggest event during her visit to the Big Apple was her baby shower, organized by some of her closest friends.

Held in New York’s exclusive and upscale hotel, The Mark, the event was attended by her best friend Jessica Mulroney, Markus Anderson, and former Suits costar Abigail Spencer. Royal commentator Omid Scobie reported other friends to be on the guest list include Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, and Misha Nonoo, on Good Morning America. Scobie also shared that the New York celebration is one of two, with another shower taking place in England after the duke and duchess return from their forthcoming Morocco trip. “[The baby shower] will be a celebration with her closest friends,” Scobie added.

Decorations believed to be for the shower, including dozens of colorful floral arrangements, were delivered to the Upper East Side hotel on Tuesday. She reportedly received her first gift, a massive Babyletto convertible crib, which was pictured being delivered to The Mark.

Following the baby shower, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out for a dinner at Ralph Lauren’s swanky restaurant, The Polo Bar, wearing a navy Victoria Beckham coat, jeans from Hatch Maternity, and black Tamara Mellon boots. She accessorized the look with a Stella McCartney bag and a black scarf.

At an earlier appearance this year, the duchess shared with a well-wisher that her due date is in late April. Her visit to New York and royal tour of Morocco are likely to be her last trips before the arrival of baby Sussex.
