Popular Netflix romantic comedy series Emily In Paris starring Lily Collins got a nod for season 2 this Wednesday. The show, by Sex And The City creator Darren Star premiered October 2 to a social media frenzy and continues to garner thousands of fans across the world.

To announce the news, Netflix wrote a formal letter from Emily’s French boss from the show, Sylvie Grateau, informing her American boss Madeline Wheeler that she’ll have to stay with the team in Paris a while longer. “Nous sommes désolées! We are writing to regrettably inform you that Emily Cooper will need to remain in Paris for an extended period of time. Call it bonne chance, or American ingenuity — I’m leaning towards the former — her results are impressive,” the release added. Producer of the show and Vogue Arabia cover star Lily Collins also shared the “letter” on her Twitter to announce the renewal.

And for those who live in Dubai and binge-watched the show, there’s some good news for you. The Parisian fanfare of Emily In Paris is about to come to the UAE with an ‘Emily in Dubai’ themed ladies’ night being launched on Tuesday November 17 at Marina Social. The restaurant will also feature some of the show’s signature food including the ‘Lou Malnati’s Pizza’ and ‘Le Omlette’. The event will also include a flower shop pop-up by the Gorgeous Flower Company and for those in want of styling tips can trot over to the Wear That stand for some serious fashion advice.

And for those uninitiated, Emily In Paris is a romantic comedy tv-series on an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, who unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company. Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with Parisian adventures and surprising twists and turns as she navigates a new life, a new job and some new distractions in Paris.
