Egyptian actor Dalal Abdel Aziz has died at age 61, leaving behind a three-decade-long legacy of memorable performances. Married to iconic Egyptian comedian Samir Ghanem and mother to actors Donia and Amy Samir Ghanem, she appeared in various roles and genres, leaving no stone unturned throughout her acting career. Some of her most treasured classics include the riotous comedy play Ahlan Ya Doctor (Hello Doctor) alongside her husband, and Hob Fel Takhshibah (Love in Prison). Reigning strong in recent hit films, she also starred in Asef Ala El Ezag (Apologies for Disturbing) and the recent 2020 Ramadan comedy series Valentino.
Succumbing to Covid-19 related complications after battling the virus for a number of weeks, the celebrated star’s demise has grieved the Arab entertainment industry, with many stars taking to social media to pay their respects and condolences.
