Backstage with Lojain Omran: Everything You Need to Know About the Dubai Royal Wedding Ceremony

The night of June 14 saw another ceremony following the wedding of the three sons of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Held in South Dubai, the ceremony was attended by many known personalities from the Arab world.

 

Saudi Arabian television presenter Lojain Omran took over the role of the MC at the ceremony, donning multiple dresses, each of them created by Lebanese designer Charbel Karam. Every dress worn by Omran represented a theme from the wedding ceremony in its color and design. Styled by Christian Kasha and having her hair and makeup done by hairstylist Ramia and makeup artist Masooma Jalil Hashim, Omran looked stunning in every ensemble.

Emirati singer Ahlam Alshamshi and Iraqi singer Majid Almohandis entertained the guests at the ceremony with their performances. Alshamshi took to Instagram to congratulate HH Sheikh Mohammed and share that she was honored as an Arab artist to sing at the wedding.

The brides of the royal princes all belong to Dubai’s ruling Al Maktoum family. Sheikh Hamdan, married Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed, Sheikh Maktoum, married Sheikha Maryam bint Butti, and Sheikh Ahmed, married Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj. They were wed in a joint Islamic ceremony on May 15 which was followed by a grand wedding reception on June 6.
