Dubai Restaurant Week Has Officially Begun! Don’t Miss These 10 Food Spots

As part of the Dubai Food Festival, Dubai’s dining scene is preparing for Restaurant Week, which starts on May 6 and runs on till May 15. In partnership with 40 of the city’s best restaurants, including Miss Tess, Hell’s Kitchen, Coya and Roka, this culinary celebrations aims to offer a special three-course dinner menu or a two-course lunch menu to visitors. But which restaurants should you pick? Below, Vogue Arabia lists 10 food spots you’ve got to check out for an unforgettable experience.

Roka

Offering a tsunami of flavors on each plate, Roka is a celebration of Japanese cuisine, all of which is prepared with a contemporary twist. While the restaurant is best known for its mouth-watering mushroom hotpot and yellowtail sashimi, DRW gives guests a chance to try different favorites via a three course lunch or dinner. While the afternoon meals will include iceberg salada no wafu, and beef, ginger and sesame dumplings, the dinner menu boasts sweetcorn rubs, and lamb cutlets doused in Korean spices. No meal is complete without dessert of course, and Roka delivers till the very end. Make sure to ask for the freshly made treat of the day upon your visit.

Hutong

This one’s for every Chinese food fan in Dubai. Hutong’s special menus for DRW offer up a range of unmissable dishes. For lunch, expect wild mushroom and truffle baos, and wok-tossed beef tenderloin in chilli sauce, followed by the bao and soy salted caramel and sesame praline dessert. What’s for dinner? Think rose champagne shrimp dumplings, black pepper chicken fried rice with the golden fortune for the finale. End the evening on a sweet note with mango compote, passion fruit ganache with coconut mousse, and mango sorbet.

BB Social Dining

BB Social Dining is a homegrown concept that hones in on the idea of community and sharing, serving a range of Asian fusion dishes. Located in DIFC, this cosy corner offers everything from salt and pepper calamari and wagyu katsu cheeseburgers during the day, to seared salmon, beef tartare and the much-loved BB creme brulee during dinner. Dive in!

Hell’s Kitchen

Located in Caesar’s Palace, Blue Waters Island, Hell’s Kitchen, the sister restaurant owned by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, is taking part in Dubai Restaurant Week too. Make a reservation to watch the red and blue teams akin to those on the show serve up some iconic Ramsey dishes such as the beef wellington, eggs in purgatory, and toffee pudding.

Coya

Take a walk on the wild side with Coya’s lush interiors and equally rich flavors. For Dubai Restaurant Week, the favorite offers up some of its best dishes, including calamares con ocopa, sea bass, beef ribs, and loaded baos. The Piña Colada popsicles make the perfect end note to what promises to be a memorable meal.

Indya by Vineet

One of the most popular Indian restaurants in Dubai, Indya by Vineet makes the cut on the list of the restaurants at the Dubai Food Festival. During DRW, the foos spot will offer a range of flavorful and colorful dishes that challenge the tastebuds, from charcoal sev papdi dahi chaat to bevda chicken, lamb Madras, and a selection of kebabs.

Miss Tess

Located at the Taj Hotel Dubai, Miss Tess is one of the only Asian street food restaurants in Dubai offering an extensive vegan menu. Head over for a taste of gyozas and baos, moth-watering pad thai, and mango sticky rice, all available for dinner.
