After the success of its first few hologram concerts, Dubai will be launching a whole new series of shows. They are set to take place twice a week at the world’s first Dubai Hologram Universe, created in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and New Dimension Productions (NDP). Located in the Al Habtoor City Theatre, the same venue as the much-loved stage show La Perle, the Dubai Hologram Universe will host state-of-the-art hologram concerts starting January 30.

The shows are set to conjure clips of some of the Arab world’s most iconic singers including Abdel Halim Hafez, Umm Kulthum, Warda Al-Jazairia, as well as American crooner Frank Sinatra. Hafez’s concert titled Sawwah is the very first in the series and will take place in the same week that brings the Dubai Shopping Festival to a close. It will feature the most romantic songs of the Egyptian artist who died aged 47 in 1977alongside live musicians and performers for a 90-minute set.
