Dubai Design Week celebrates its 10th edition with two highlights: Editions, the region’s first fair for limited-edition design, and Downtown Design, a showcase of leading collections in interiors and furniture
Dubai Design Week
Since its launch, Dubai Design Week has firmly established itself as a major international event, solidifying Dubai’s position on the global design map. Taking place from November 5-10 at its home in d3, this year’s edition promises to be the largest yet, featuring over 500 designers and creative professionals from more than 40 countries, including the UAE Designer Exhibition curated by Omar Al Gurg. “As we celebrate the 10th edition, we look forward to bringing together designers from across the globe to exchange ideas and demonstrate the positive impact that design can foster,” says Natasha Carella, director of Dubai Design Week. “Responding to the complexities of a modern world, this year, sustainable practices and the nuances of vernacular architecture across the region and wider global south take center stage, with thought- provoking programming that explores creativity in all its forms and how design can improve our shared future.”
Downtown Design
Taking place November 6-9 on the d3 Waterfront Terraces, this year’s Downtown Design will feature innovative products, collections, and solutions across interior design, furniture, and home accessories. Highlights include Saint Louis’s Torsade Collection, Babnimnim Design Studio’s Moon Vignettes with Cosentino’s sustainable Silestone and Dekton surfaces, and Natuzzi’s modular Snail sofa. “This year’s edition will be the largest to date, with the most dynamic program yet and an exciting mix of established and new talent from the international design scene, all looking to connect and showcase,” says Mette Degn-Christensen, director of the event.
Editions
“We’re adding a brand-new element, this year: Editions, the Middle East’s first fair dedicated to limited-edition art and design, broadening access and opportunities to discover carefully selected works from around the world,” says Degn-Christensen.
