Set to run from March 1 to 3, 2024 at Madinat Jumeirah, the 17th iteration of Art Dubai will once again focus on art from the global south. The Bawwaba – Arabic for gateway – section which is being curated by Emiliano Valdés, chief curator of the Museum of Modern Art in Medellin, Columbia, will feature an exploration of healing on a personal, social, and political level. For Art Dubai Modern, Dr. Christianna Bonin, assistant professor of art history at the American University of Sharjah, has curated an experience narrating the cultural links and dynamics of the global, while the digital edition, curated by Auronda Scalera and Alfredo Cramerotti, looks toward the future with advanced technologies such as AI, AR, VR, and NFTs.
Sikka Art and Design Festival

The historic neighborhood of Al Shindagha certainly has a lot to offer when it comes to cultural immersion, but during the Sikka Art and Design Festival, it gets even better. Scheduled from February 23 to March 3, 2024, the 12th edition of the festival is preparing to once again feature and uplift aspiring and established talents from the UAE and beyond. Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the festival incorporates a range of mediums, from visual arts, painting, and sculpture to photography, design, and even mixed media. The exhibition of art is accompanied by interactive workshops, musical and cinematic performances, as well as dialogue sessions to father enrich the art scene.
World Art Dubai

World Art Dubai remains a headline event for the art season in Dubai as it brings together work from around the world in a true appreciation for creativity. From emerging artists to established creatives and even experimental creators, at World Art Dubai, there is something for everyone. Running from May 2 to 5, 2024, the 10th edition of World Art Dubai will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and is expected to once again present a melting pot of artistic styles and creative tendencies. If you are looking for diverse and original works of art at various price points, or even if you are simply an enthusiast, the World Art Dubai fair just cannot be missed.
