5 Dog-Friendly Restaurants to Take Your Pup to in Abu Dhabi

If you’re lucky enough to know the love of a furry friend, you’re also likely well versed with the devastation that accompanies having to leave them behind any time you walk out your door. While it’s not always the easiest to find paw-friendly spaces, an increasing number of restaurants around the capital are changing their offering to making dining out with pets easier. Emancipating dog-owners from being at the behest of puppy-dog eyes and whimpering woofs, here are five restaurants in Abu Dhabi your pup will love as much as you do.

Jim’s Kitchen Table

With a huge outdoor area comprising plenty of room for four-legged play, this dog-friendly café in Masdar City is perfect for a fun family day out. Including homemade cakes, breakfast platters, burgers, pizzas and more, the menu hasn’t quite teetered into dog-food territory yet, but will undoubtedly leave its human guests perfectly satisfied. Complete with a children’s play area and special kid’s menu, there’s something for everyone at Jim’s Kitchen Table.

Nolu’s Restaurant

Located amid the stunning views of Al Raha Beach, Nolu‘s is the perfect getaway for dogs and owners alike. A fusion restaurant combining Afghan flavors with Californian street food, this sea-view restaurant comprises indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which is perfect for pets in need of a little sun and sand. We recommend trying the Angus fillet; while not exclusively dog-friendly, we guarantee your pup would be more than obliging to receive a few bites on the side!

Sportsman’s Arms

Located in Zayed Sports City, this American-Irish gastro-pub is the perfect excuse for a day out with the family, non-human family members included. With its beautiful open terrace, your pups can sit back and enjoy the outdoor views as you tuck into a plate of greasy, gooey, gastro-pub goodness. Open daily from 8am, guests can help themselves to a wide array of culinary delights, from sloppy joe sliders to Philly cheesesteaks.

Salt

Known for their melt-in-your-mouth burgers and decadent desserts, this dog-friendly food truck is as legendary amongst pets as it is amongst humans. Located in Mushrif Central Park, Salt is housed by one of the city’s most expansive and exciting green spaces, perfect for frolicking around with your furry friends. Don’t forget to try their renowned lotus shakes while you’re at it!

The Third Place Café

Founded on the premise of community, culture, and oodles of coffee, The Third Place Café provides the perfect spot to work on your art, read a book, eat your weight in carrot cake, and spend time with your pooch. Boasting an expansive outdoor area where dogs are more than welcome, the café includes an exciting menu with items ranging from sandwiches and salads to frappes and fettuccini.
