Last year, DJ Khaled presented his son Asahd Tuck Khaled with a US $100,000 luxury Swiss watch for his first birthday, leaving us to wonder how he can possibly top that. But leave it to the Vogue Man Arabia cover star to do just that. On Saturday, the Palestinian record producer further upped the ante when it comes to throwing an unforgettable birthday bash by renting out Miami’s entire Marlins Park baseball stadium for his newly-minted two-year-old. The doting father pulled out all the stops, transforming the sports stadium into a full-blown carnival, complete with games, amusement park rides, a caricaturist, popcorn machines, balloon animals, and even a petting zoo. Other highlights included a custom cake village, which was filled with two massive carnival-themed cakes, as well as cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies.
The birthday extravaganza was attended by over 250 youths from various community organizations in Miami, who all got to experience the inauguration of Asahd’s first charitable initiative, a program of the We The Best Foundation, which will focus on enriching the lives of the younger generation by financially supporting programs focused on community needs, family values, and youth entrepreneurship. Also there to celebrate the launch of the charity was former Yankees player Derek Jeter, who presented the birthday boy with a US $100,000 check on behalf of the Marlins, in addition to $10,000 from stroller company Cybex.
Though he didn’t receive another luxury Swiss watch, the toddler was gifted a red, pint-sized Ferrari and a matching stroller, which he can certainly add to his next-level accessories collection already comprising a mini Mercedes and Rolls Royce with customized license plates, a Fendi Monster Inglesina stroller, Gucci knit sweaters, Hermès blankets, and baby Yeezys.
Khaled occasionally takes to Instagram to share his unconditional love for his first born. Following the epic birthday bash, the All I Do Is Win singer opened up to People, saying, “My son is the greatest gift of life, our children are the world’s biggest blessing, so I am so grateful to be able to celebrate his life with a carnival and to be hosting many inner-city kids and their families so everyone in our community can experience joy today at the iconic Marlins Stadium together in our hometown of Miami.”
The star also opened up to Vogue Man Arabia about fatherhood for the Fall/Winter 2018 issue, revealing he is “working on” having more kids with his partner, Nicole Tuck. “My life changed completely in the most amazing way,” he enthused about the birth of his son. “We were blessed before, but this is more exciting. I feel like I’m just starting to live. Asahd is the light of my life. When I see my son, he sends me an energy that makes me feel like I can accomplish anything in the world. It’s like Allah smiling on me every day. It’s the purest form of love.” Happy birthday Asahd!
