David Beckham Calls Victoria Beckham Out About Her ‘Working Class’ Background in New Netflix Series

Victoria Beckham tried to pretend like we don’t all know why she was called Posh Spice, only to be immediately called out by her husband, David Beckham, resulting in a clip that has the internet gasping for air.

In the Beckham documentary, the moment begins with Victoria on the couch, telling the interviewer about growing up “very working-class.” Immediately David pokes his head in from behind a door to admonish her to “be honest.” She protests that she is being honest, but David is having none of it and asks, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?” Victoria tries to sidestep with various caveats: “My dad…” “It’s not a simple answer!” “It depends!” Unfortunately for her, David could have had a great career in broadcast journalism and presses her for a straight answer until she finally replies with the truth. “Okay, in the ’80s my dad had a Rolls Royce,” she confesses. “Thank you,” David says, and closes the door again.

And that’s the story of how the internet found its new proletariat hero in David Beckham. “This is killing me,” reads one tweet. “David Beckham is the last remaining investigative journalist,” reads another. “Why did he gather her like this?” someone else joked. Said one X user, “Lol the way he opened the door to stop her lying and then immediately closed it.”

The hilarious clip, along with several others, has got football and fashion fans alike waiting for the documentary series to finally drop.
