For employees in Dubai working from the office, the Dubai Municipality has issued a set of precautionary guidelines to help curb the spread of Covid-19 at workplaces.

While at work, employees have been asked to always wear a clean mask, maintain a physical distance of two meters, and avoid touching their eyes, face, and mouth to potentially avoid getting infected.

Workers should also maintain strict hygiene to protect themselves and others. This includes regularly washing and sanitizing hands, practicing sneezing and coughing etiquette, and always disinfecting high-touch surfaces before using them.

Apart from practicing these safety measures, it is also advised to not share physical items with others at work to curb the virus’ spread. Dubai Municipality stresses the importance of preparing your own beverages and food at work and not sharing any office or personal equipment with fellow colleagues.

In addition to that, it’s essential to comply with the list of rules issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for people attending social gatherings, which can also be applied to employees working from the office. If you display respiratory symptoms or a fever, do not attend any gatherings, go to the office, or shake hands and hug others. Residents have also been advised against attending gatherings with people who fall under the high-risk group including people with chronic diseases and the elderly.
