The first photo of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend‘s newborn is here—and so is her name.
On January 13, Legend announced the birth of his family’s latest addition to the world (and by the world, I mean a small crowd at a private concert), sharing that he was running on very little sleep after welcoming “the little baby” that morning. “What a blessed day,” Legend said, revealing no further information.
Well, just a few days later, Teigen shared the baby girl’s name, as well as a gorgeous photo of their newborn daughter being held by older siblings, six-year-old Luna and four-year-old Miles. “She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens—the house is bustling and our family could not be happier,” the 37-year-old model captioned the Instagram photo on January 19. “Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c-section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes—we feel it all! X.”
Legend shared the same photo, writing, “On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy. I’m in awe of Chrissy’s strength and resilience and I’m so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I’m so, so grateful, but that doesn’t seem like a big enough word…”

After suffering a devastating pregnancy loss in September 2020, Chrissy Teigen documented her journey with IVF treatments and announced her latest pregnancy in August 2022. “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote at the time. “1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as [you] can see!) we have another on the way.”
She continued, “Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
