Cartier has chosen Amal Clooney as the inaugural contributor of Cartier Voices, a community of individuals mirroring the brand’s own generous nature through cultural, philanthropic, environmental, and social initiatives. The yet-to-be-announced collective is a continuation of past charitable initiatives by Cartier and represents their commitment to humanitarian efforts.
“We are thrilled to be welcoming Amal as the first contributor of Cartier Voices,” said Cyrille Vigneron, president and chief executive officer of Cartier, via WWD. “Her values and philanthropic efforts reflect Cartier’s longstanding commitment to driving change that impacts vulnerable communities on a global scale. We look forward to partnering with her in raising awareness of pressing issues with citizens around the world.”
Clooney is a world-renowned human rights lawyer, activist, and philanthropist, whose work has gained her recognition on par with her husband George Clooney. Born in Lebanon and raised in the UK, she studied law and has since represented high-profile clients such as Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, and Iraqi activist Nadia Murad. In addition to this illustrious legal career, Clooney is also a vocal advocate for various social justice causes and the co-founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice along with her husband. There is also the fact that she often sets a sartorial standard that is every bit as elegant as her.
All of this makes Clooney the perfect representative for Cartier, a fact that she seems quite excited about. “I am honored to be the first contributor to the global community of Cartier Voices,” she said. “I look forward to building an enduring partnership founded on the values shared between myself and the Maison.”
