Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have headed down the aisle.

The couple got married on Thursday in front of a very small, exclusive guest list of only about 60 people in their close circle, according to both TMZ and People. The pop star’s brother Bryan was expected to be there, but her mother Lynne, father Jamie, and sister Jamie Lynn were reportedly not in attendance. According to the outlets, it was also undecided who gave Spears away at the altar as the final details of the event are still being hammered out.

Ahead of their nuptials, the pair certainly appeared to be getting into the romantic spirit, posting a video of themselves on Wednesday as they were being driven around in a Rolls-Royce while sipping bubbly. Spears and Asghari also managed to pull together this ceremony pretty quickly considering he only proposed nine months ago. But two months after getting engaged, Spears revealed on Instagram that she already had a designer hard at work on her wedding dress. The singer posted a series of images of herself dressed in a semi-sheer pink evening gown on Instagram, writing, “No…this is not my wedding dress bahahah!!!! Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak….Have a good night folks!!!!” In March, the Grammy winner also posted pictures of Donatella paying a visit to their home in California.

Spears admitted, however, that while the gown of her dreams was all taken care of, she was struggling to decide where to throw the actual ceremony. She told fans on TikTok in October of last year, “I don’t know where I’m going to get married. We don’t know if we’re going to get married in Italy, or Greece, Australia, or New York City.”

Spears and Asghari first met on the set of her music video “Slumber Party” in October 2016 where they exchanged numbers, but it took another five months for them to actually reconnect. They made their relationship Instagram official a little over a year later on New Year’s Day 2017. In September, after almost five years together, Asghari popped the question with a custom ring designed by Roman Malayev and engraved with his nickname for Spears, “Lioness.”

Asghari told GQ in June that when it came to choosing the ring, he wanted it to “represent something. I want it to come from my heart and I want it to go to someone that wasn’t a big jeweler. It was a big company but it was a company that was willing to do it the way that I wanted it. So I designed a really beautiful ring. It’s a princess cut, for a real-life princess.”
