Pop sensation Britney Spears is finally returning to the music scene after a 13-year-long conservatorship termination and a six-year-long hiatus from music. What’s more, the singer has collaborated with legendary artist, Sir Elton John for her new release, which is set to come out as early as this August.
The American pop phenomenon is reportedly working on a re-production of the 1971 hit,’ Tiny Dancer’, which John will add old-school infusions to. With late-night recording sessions and months of relentless practice, the artists are hoping to recreate the once-famous song with a new perspective. It’s new name? ‘Hold Me Closer’. Elton John revealed the title with a simple Instagram post, which also featured rocket and rose emojis.

Spears was seen recording with John last week in a studio in Beverly Hills. While the musicians have not revealed much about their new collab yet, there have been a few teasers already. Their secret recording session was overseen by Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watts, who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, and close friend Paris Hilton shared that she has already heard the track. “It’s gonna be iconic,” the heiress revealed recently. “I just heard it a few days ago in Ibiza and it is… it’s insane.”
The recreation of this old-school hit by the duo is set to be the song of the summer, and hopefully it won’t be long before it’s released to the public by multi-national Dutch corporation Universal Music.
