Britney Spears‘ long-awaited comeback, which is a collaboration with Elton John, is coming sooner than fans think. After announcing that the duo is working together on the remake of John’s 1972 classic ‘Tiny Dancer’, the British singer has revealed that the song will drop on August 26.

The news came with the cover art for the track officially titled ‘Hold me Closer’, which features heartwarming childhood photos of both the singers side by side. In a color photo, Spears is seen posing in a pink feathered dance costume while John is seated next to a piano in a black-and-white picture. The duet was first confirmed by Spears’ close friend Paris Hilton on August 2 who said in an interview that she has heard already the song, which is currently only available to pre-save. “It’s gonna be iconic,” Hilton said. “I just heard it a couple days ago in Ibiza, and it is, it’s insane.”

Spears has been teasing her return to music and new work for some time now. A few weeks earlier, she took to Instagram to share a homemade video of herself singing a new rendition of ‘Baby One More Time’, saying that she had been asking “for what I wanted for 14 years . . . a different version of ‘Baby.'”

Ahead of the single’s release, a source close to Spears informed HollywoodLife that “Britney has had a lot of creative control in the making of this song and that is something that she’s really enjoyed. When she was under her conservatorship, she really didn’t get this because she was not allowed to make decisions for herself. Doing this song with Elton has given her confidence again in her ability to sing and create music.”
