However moody he may be behind closed doors, one thing Ben Affleck is going do is keep it professional on a press tour. He and Matt Damon are starting to promote their new movie Unstoppable, which stars Affleck’s estranged wife, Jennifer Lopez, and though they may be in the process of getting divorced, he had nothing but kind words about her performance in the film.

“Jennifer is spectacular,” the Oscar winner told Entertainment Tonight, per Page Six. “We believed in the right people, and Unstoppable is another example of that,” he added.
It goes without saying that he will not speak ill of the lead performance of a movie he’s trying to sell tickets to, but there’s also ample precedent for Affleck really, truly believing in Lopez as an actor. They costarred in both Gigli and Jersey Girl (neither of which are very good, but still, he didn’t have to work with her), and in 2021, before they’d even gotten back together, he praised her work ethic in a magazine interview.
“I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” Ben Affleck said, continuing, “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
