With Bella Hadid’s first scripted role, Ramy will carry on its storyline about first-generational Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan and his immigrant Muslim family residing in New York. The angle for the season is said to “bring a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a religious community who believes life is a moral test, and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists. In the third season, his family is forced to confront having lived a life dedicated to worldly concerns — and in some cases, lies — while Ramy all but abandons his spiritual journey, instead dedicating himself to him and his uncle’s diamond business.”

Written and directed by Ramy Youssef and produced by A24, the series has also featured notable guest stars such as Muslim and proud Academy award winner Mahershala Ali, and supermodel Mia Khalifa. Bella Hadid joining the cast further adds to the diversity and inclusivity of the series. Although not much has been revealed about the model’s story within Ramy, it is still an exciting bit of news for fans of the supermodel. “Best cast, best crew, best show, honored & excited. Yallaaaa @ramy,” the soon-to-be actor shared on her Instagram account.
