Ashley Graham isn’t hung up on her awkward interview with Hugh Grant at the 2023 Oscars, even though the internet may still be buzzing,

The pair went viral after an exchange on the champagne carpet before the telecast, where Graham’s innocuous question- “What’s your favorite thing about coming to the Oscars?”—yielded a now highly debated miscommunication.
At the time, Grant replied that the event was “fascinating,” adding, “The whole of humanity is here. It’s vanity fair.” Graham replied, “Oh, it’s all about Vanity Fair. That’s where we let loose”—a reference to the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which kicked off right after the awards. But Grant was more likely referring to the concept name-checked in the title of an 1848 William Thackeray novel about the frivolity of shallow, upper-crust society.

When asked about the encounter outside of Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, Graham told TMZ, “You know what, my mom has told me to kill them with kindness, so there you go.” The model and host maintained that she “had so much fun” at the Oscars despite the tricky exchange, which hit several snags in a matter of minutes.
When Graham followed by asking Grant whom he was most excited to mingle with at the 95th Academy Awards, he said: “Um, no one in particular.” After Graham inquired about his styling, Grant replied that he was wearing “just my suit.”
Grant was in attendance to present best production design, an award that went to All Quiet on the Western Front, alongside his Four Weddings and a Funeral costar Andie MacDowell. But before the ceremony, Graham asked about the actor’s work in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which was nominated in the best-adapted-screenplay category. “Well, I’m barely in it,” Grant said of his cameo as—spoiler alert—partner to Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc. “I’m in it for about three seconds.” Graham, ever the optimist, replied, “You showed up and you had fun, right?” To that, Grant simply said, “Uh—almost.”
