Angelina Jolie just attended another Spelman College event in honor of daughter Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt—and this time she didn’t come alone.
On November 16, the mother of six brought her eldest sons, 22-year-old Maddox and 19-year-old Pax, to a luncheon celebrating the newest members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, including 18-year-old Zahara. In photos shared Essence, Jolie and her sons can be seen posing for a photo with Zahara, who wore a white dress to the event. In another image shared by a fan account, Jolie holds her face in her hands in apparent awe.
“Angie is very proud for Zahara,” a source told Essence. “She is impressed by her choice to work hard, her interest in service and her wish to join the AKA sisterhood—one of the many impressive HCBU sororities. It meant so much to Angie and Zahara’s siblings to be there to support her, and to congratulate all the other girls.”

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, a sophomore at Spelman, was officially welcomed into the Mu Pi Chapter of the AKA sorority earlier this week. In a video shared on November 15, Zahara appeared to drop “Pitt” from her name while introducing herself as a sorority sister. “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she said in a video shared by Essence, which can be seen here. “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California…I am this line’s number seven.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six children: Maddox, 22; Pax, 19; Zahara, 18; Shiloh, 17; and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. Around the time of their split in 2016, Jolie cut back on filming to focus on her family’s needs. “We had a lot of healing to do,” she told Vogue during a recent interview about her new fashion venture, the Atelier Jolie. “We’re still finding our footing.”
