Egyptian pop sensation Amr Diab has been announced as the headlining act of this year’s AlUla Skies Festival on September 27, 2024.
Concert season is almost upon us, as a series of artists descend in the region to perform shows in the cooler climates. In Saudi Arabia, AlUla Skies will kick off on September 26, with Amr Diab headlining on Friday, September 27. The Egyptian pop star’s concert will take place at a new outdoor concert venue in AlUla, promising pleasant weather and mesmerizing views alongside Diab’s electrifying sound.
Diab is known for his nostalgia-inducing tracks like ‘Nour El Ain’ and ‘Tamally Maak’ that transcended boundaries and help put Arab music on the global map. His recent work includes his genre-defying 12-song album Makanak, and hits like ‘Ya Leil’ and ‘Wallahi Abadan’. The artist is celebrated for his contributions to the regional music industry and is also often synonymous with Arab music, making the upcoming show that much more unmissable.

Among Diab’s accomplishments is his 2023 domination of the top 12 spots of the Top Anghami Charts with Makanak. The singer also holds a Guinness World Records title for “Most World Music Awards for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist” Diab has been awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist four times: 1996 for the album Nour El Ain, 2001 for album Akter Wahed, 2007 for album El Lillady, and 2013 for El Leila album.
Diab’s AlUla Skies show marks the first one in the AlUla Moments Concert Series for the 2024-25 season, with tickets going on sale on August 25.
