Picture this: a vast expanse of luxurious spaces, a beautiful damsel on a mission, and a celebration fit for royalty. In Vogue Arabia’s latest video, Egyptian star Amina Khalil brings a thrilling story to life, taking the world on a treasure hunt that runs across not one, but two gorgeous properties—The St. Regis Almasa, Cairo and The St. Regis Cairo.
Dressed smartly in an all-black, Khalil first makes her appearance as she trots up the regal stairs of The St. Regis Almasa in glossy Giuseppe Zanotti boots, takes a whiff of the traditional Egyptian blue lotus, and snaps open a copy of The Vogue Times to discover that a secret celebration is to be had at the luxe property. It is, after all, among the most beautiful spots in Cairo, complete with private villas, sprawling landscapes of 120 acres that are ideal for grand celebrations, three dreamy ballrooms, six VIP lounges, a two-storey spa, several pools, countless sports amenities, and its own beach. As she dances through the sun-kissed ivory and gold lobby of The St. Regis Almasa, Khalil finds herself being led through the hotel’s fairytale-like interiors, only to discover the property’s masterpiece theatre, which seats 1,600. There she stumbles across the first clue for the party: “Find the canvas.”
As she flees the theatre in her billowing purple Jean Louis Sabaji maxi, Amina Khalil changes things up once again, exploring the whopping 42,000 square feet of flexible space inside the one-of-a-kind hotel. Home to the largest convention centre across the Middle East and Africa, The St. Regis Almasa pops in the backdrop, and there’s no missing the beautiful artifacts of Egypt that bring it to life. It is while she dances through the marble-clad halls of the museum at the arts and culture city, adjacent to the hotel, that Khalil finds her next clue, which leads her on a felucca ride on the Nile River to Egypt’s next jewel: The St. Regis Cairo.
Sparkling against the waters, The St. Regis Cairo commands attention for its contemporary beauty, which reflects the meticulous craftsmanship of hundreds. Instead of the hotel’s exclusive private entrance (a porte cochère marked by a carpet of mosaic and a glowing gold ceiling), Khalil tip-toes through the hotel’s lush gardens and serene halls, ending up at one of its most-loved corners, the Library. A serene spot that brings together rich furnishings and some of the world’s most-loved books, the Library is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to its attractions and iconic design. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel comes with 79 luxury serviced apartments—each of which come with stunning views of the Nile River, and a 24/7 butler service for the smoothest of stays—along with unique celebratory spaces like the Crystal Hall that boasts a Swarovski chandelier featuring 251,000 crystals. And that’s not all. The St. Regis Cairo is also home to a whopping seven different restaurants, the Iridium Spa, both indoor and outdoor pools along with a jacuzzi, the St. Regis Athletic Club, and 10 distinguished venues—from ballrooms to boardrooms.
Khalil’s journey continues when a book tell hers that her next clue is “in the mural”, directing her to The St. Regis Bar—a spot you can’t miss on your next visit. Sipping on the hotel’s iconic Hibiscus Mary, the star takes in the details of ‘The Pink Sun’ mural, an ode to Ancient Egypt, when she discovers her next clue, which leads her to a peaceful afternoon tea session.
As the day comes to a wrap, the thrilling video sees Amina Khalil head to her final destination, the Royal Suite. Greeted by the butler, Khalil finally finds what she’s been seeking all along: the invite to the House of Celebration. And for this, she goes all-out. Sparkling from head-to-toe in an Elisabetta Franchi number, the star discovers the best of The St. Regis experience with her fragrant blue lotus in hand. Another mystery solved in perfect style. Watch the video to join her on the journey.
