Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and her husband, George Clooney, are officially parents. The couple welcomed twins – a boy named Alexander and girl named Ella – in England yesterday.”This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,” their representative said in a statement. “George is sedated and should recover in a few days,” they jokingly added.
Word that the actor and lawyer were expecting first surfaced in January, and was soon confirmed by George Clooney’s mother, Nina, who revealed that the couple were expecting a boy and a girl. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Venice in 2014, reportedly has plans to raise their children in the UK for the first few years.
