Though there was never any question the Kardashians would go all out for Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday, they did not disappoint.
Before the party started, Kylie posted intimate portraits of herself with daughter Stormi. Then began a blowout bash that brought together the whole family—and many other famous faces.
The birthday girl wore not one, but two outfits: a magenta cut-out dress by Peter Dundas, and a sparkly pink romper paired with a sparkly Marzook clutch. She wore her long, now-platinum blonde hair back in a sleek ponytail.
Sisters Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, and Kendall all showed up in different, yet coordinated style, which was especially evident when Kylie later posted an Instagram of all their looks.
Kourtney sported an amethyst minidress by La Perla with an elegantly draped panel that put a sultry twist on the Grecian-style pleat. Taking a similar tack in an abridged silhouette was Kim, who donned a bubblegum pink, body-skimming dress (custom Yeezy) that looked plucked from Cher Horowitz’s Clueless wardrobe.
Amping up the bling factor—much like the birthday girl herself—were Khloé and Kendall, who took two very different routes with their wardrobe. The Good American cofounder stepped out in a glittering duster, which was complemented by a sports bra top and coordinating trousers in a bejeweled finish. Similarly, runway regular Kendall kept things short and sweet in a strapless Bec + Bridge dress with a hint of shine.
The night started off with dinner at Craig’s, the famous Los Angeles hotspot on Melrose Avenue. The menu included spaghetti and chicken parmesan (the restaurant famously serves a meat and vegan version).
Then it was off to Delilah’s, where the real party began. Guests, which included Bella Hadid, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, French Montana, and Dave Chapelle (who later sung on stage) were greeted with a giant, last-supper-style mural of the entire Kardashian clan.
The room was fully adorned in hot pink, from the tinsel to the balloons to the lighting. A D.J. spun tunes while wearing a t-shirt with Kylie’s Forbes cover emblazoned on the back. Guests drank out of cups that read “Kylie’s 21st.” The cup color was a cheeky play on each holder’s relationship status—according to a menu Kim posted on her Instagram story, pink meant “taken,” yellow meant “single,” and green meant “it’s complicated.”
Momager Kris Jenner also gave a birthday toast to her daughter, which touched on how she’s watched her daughter grow up, especially after giving birth to Stormi. Afterwards, pink confetti fell from above.
But perhaps the highlight of the night was the giant ball pit. Khloé Kardashian posted a story of her and Kim jumping in, holding a heart-shaped inner tube.
And, yes, there was a famous Kardashian-style photo booth.
Later, on Instagram, both Khloe and Kourtney joked about how it felt like their birthday, too. (“It’s our 21st birthday,” Khloe wrote on a picture of the entire family, while Kourtney joked “thank you for all of my birthday wishes,” on hers). Jokes, yes, but given the all-out togetherness of the celebration, it kind of feels like the truth.
