Dubai has fast become one of the most happening cities in the world to be in, even during the pandemic. With a multitude of outdoor events, and new restaurants popping up for the winter season, the possibilities for a fun weekend seem endless when strict safety measures and social distancing is followed.

If you are looking to drown out the noise for a relaxed beach day or are feeling adventurous, we have you covered with our round up of the most entertaining activities for the weekend.

1. Check out World Fitness Village on Kite Beach

Fancy joining a free HIIT session or a bootcamp of your choice by the sea? Dubai Fitness Challenge comes back this year with an exciting new addition on Kite beach for outdoor workout sessions across all fitness levels. You’ll find trampoline workouts at Fitbit Rebounder, a Ladies Pavilion with facilities dedicated to women-only workouts and LED screens for self training and guided sessions from October 28 through November 28.

2. Dance the night away at Aquaventure

Atlantis The Palm’s Aquaventure Waterpark has announced a line-up of DJ nights, for those who love to float about to the soundtrack of the best lounge house or EDM to kickstart the weekend. On Thursday November 5,  Shef Codes will be hitting the decks, and on Friday November 6, you’ll be able to catch DJ Keza followed by DJ Kaboo on Saturday November 7. With 30 action-packed slides and rides to pick from, a private beach and a lazy river, this could be your ultimate water adventure this weekend.

3. Get your art refill with Monet, Kandinsky and more at Dubai’s Theatre of Digital Art

Head down to Dubai’s Souk Madinat Jumeirah this weekend to immerse yourself in the multi-sensory massive art space. The Theatre of Digital Art Dubai (ToDA) is featuring artworks from Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky and more. This grand digital art project seeks to unite culture, art and science for a fully immersive experience.

Location: Theatre of Digital Art, Souk Madinat. Cost: AED 75 onwards. When: 12pm to 11pm, all days.

4. Experiment with a deep house yoga class on Friday

If you are into both yoga and music, check out this creative twist of the two with Lah Lah, Zabeel House, that hosts a ‘Deep House Yoga DXB’ class every Friday at 11am in the outdoor grass area of the hotel.

5. Catch a stand up act at Dubai Opera

Catch actor and comedian Omid Djalili’s comedy tour ‘The Good Times’ at Dubai Opera on Saturday November 7 from 8pm onwards for some much needed weekend comic relief. Tickets are fast selling out for those interested.
