Giphy.

With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, consider your midnight plans sorted. From an evening under the stars on a retired cruise liner to live performances from some of the UK’s biggest DJs, Vogue.me rounds up the best ways to ring in 2019 in Dubai. Don’t forget to check back as we regularly update the December 31 happenings.

The Square New Year’s Eve Gala
Situated on City Walk, The Square — which houses restaurants Toro + Ko, LIMA Dubai, and Galvin Bistrot & Bar — will transform into a magical winter wonderland complete with snow for one night only. For AED 650, guests can enjoy a magnificent culinary experience followed by an afterparty with music from Studio 54 legend DJ Kenny Carpenter.

Soho Garden’s Golden Garden Party
The recently opened outdoor lounge is hosting a “golden” garden bash so you can ring in 2019 in style. The celebrations will begin with a live performance from American musician Terri B and her saxophonist, before Soho Garden’s resident DJs take over the decks. There are three packages available, starting from AED 799; meanwhile, stunning views of the Burj Khalifa provide an uninterrupted view of the firework displays.

Royal Gala, Atlantis the Palm
Welcome in the new year with a chic gala dinner at Atlantis, The Palm, followed by the massive, out-of-this-world fireworks display on the Royal Beach. The evening will start at 7.30pm with welcome drinks and canapés, followed by a 30-piece live band performance until 3am. The dinner menu is a delicious buffet, including lobster, caviar, shawarmas, and unlimited beverages. Tickets cost AED/SAR 3,200 per adult, and can be purchased here.

The Queen Elizabeth 2 Royal Variety Show
Usher in 2019 at the retired cruise liner’s Grand Lounge, which is promising an unforgettable evening of non-stop entertainment by way of live music performances, comedy acts, dance shows, magicians, and free-flowing beverages for a price of AED 695. The line-up has yet to be announced, but if past events on the QE2 are any indication, you won’t want to miss it.

Black and White New Year’s Eve Party at the Dubai Opera
George and Amal Clooney‘s wedding DJ and the pioneer of Arabian EDM, DJ Said Mrad, will take over the stage at Dubai Opera, following a set by Atlanta’s Chinua Hawk who will perform a playlist of top hits, from Michael Jackson to Ed Sheeran. Additionally, the Opera House’s prime location offers spectacular views of the Burj Khalifa fireworks and the Dubai Fountain shows, without having to get lost in the crowd. Remember: the theme of the party, which starts at 7pm sharp, is black and white, so don’t forget to dress in your best monochromatic ensembles — with a hint of festive gold, of course. Tickets start at AED 700 per person and can be purchased online.

Rudimental and Sigala Headline New Year’s Eve at Zero Gravity
Unleashing one of its biggest performances yet, cult beach club Zero Gravity has announced Rudimental and Sigala will carry you into 2019 this New Year’s Eve. The UK artists have an impressive discography of chart hits, including Rudimental’s “Feel the Love”, Sigala’s “Easy Love”, and more. Due to limited capacity, the event is strictly bookings and reservations only for the night. For those wishing to start the festivities a little early, tickets, which start at AED 200 a pop, will include access to the club’s private beach and pool.

New Year’s Eve at FIVE Palm Jumeirah
For an evening of good music, good food, and free-flowing beverages, there’s nowhere else to be than the FIVE Palm Jumeriah. The popular hotel is hosting a series of events to celebrate the New Year, including a five-course meal at in-house restaurant Quattro Passi, inspired by the south of Italy. Enjoy a delectable menu of signature Italian dishes while a live band sets the soundtrack for AED 1,500, before taking in the Dubai Marina fireworks from the outside terrace. Following dinner, round up your crew and head to the venue’s signature rooftop lounge, The Penthouse, to celebrate well into the wee hours of the morning (5am to be more specific).
