The 14th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival came to an epic close with the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Wednesday. Arab and International actors and directors from all across the globe flew in to attend the screenings and premieres, including Hend Sabri, Yousra, Cate Blanchett, among many others. Preceding the gala closing premiere, the hotly-anticipated winners of the Muhr competition — an awards competition launched in 2006 for short and feature films originating from the United Arab Emirates and Arab world — were selected by The Muhr feature jury.
