When supermodel Gigi Hadid and former One Direction member Zayn Malik revealed they were pregnant a few months ago, fans could barely contain their excitement. The news of the pregnancy was accidentally revealed and later confirmed by Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, back in April 2020. Since then, very little has been revealed and fans have been seeking out clues and speculating on social media as to whether or not the little one has officially made their arrival. After Hadid shared her pregnancy portraits on Instagram in late August with what can only be best described as a cryptic caption, fans are sure that Hadid is due sooner than we think.
On Wednesday, Mohamed Hadid, Gigi’s father shared an emotional post on Instagram of a letter he penned to his grandchild, which has since been deleted. The note begins with a customary line in Arabic, “In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful”. “Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun and moon, I wish for you a happy time,” the poem reads, in English. “Know that grandpa’s always here, I’ll do anything, anything for you, my dear. When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I knew my heart would always belong to you.”

Earlier this week, Bella Hadid posted an adorable photo of herself standing next to her sister, proudly showing off a food baby bump of her own. “June 11, 2020 …two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn i love you both so freaking much -can’tstopcrying,” Bella captioned this post.
Naturally, everyone on social media was convinced the supermodel had given birth as #Gigi started trending almost immediately after Mohamed Hadid posted the letter on Instagram. However, after fans began to speculate that the baby had arrived, Hadid removed the post from his Instagram page, but not before replying to one comment to say Gigi had “not yet” given birth.
