Kim Kardashian West has recently opened up about getting robbed in Paris in 2016. While appearing on David Letterman’s Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Kardashian West recalled what had been a terrifying incident during which she feared her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian would return home to find her dead.
The robbery took place in October 2016, when Kardashian West was in France to attend Paris fashion week. Speaking to American TV host Letterman, the reality TV star shared that she had packed all her jewelry for this trip, adding that it was something she had “never done before.” A week before her trip, husband Kanye West had also gifted her a ring which she wore in Paris and flaunted on her social media.

At 3am, while Kardashian West was at her residence she heard someone “stomping up the stairs,” she told Letterman. At first, she thought it was her sister, Kourtney, returning home but soon realized that it was someone else trying to enter the room. This was when she felt “immediate panic,” the star said. “I knew someone was there, like, someone was there to get me. You feel it.” Kardashian West went on to reveal that five robbers dressed as “policemen wearing masks” had entered the room and demanded the ring after taking her phone away. She broke down in tears as she recalled being grabbed by one of the men and believing that she was about to be assaulted. “I kept on thinking about Kourtney, I kept on thinking, like, she’s gonna come home and I’m gonna be dead in the room and she’s gonna be traumatized for the rest of her life,” she added.
“Besides that little cry session, I’m totally fine,” Kardashian West concluded. “I really am. I remember calling all my sisters from the car, we were on a conference call. I’m like, ‘Guys, thank God that was me. I’m very mentally strong and that would have f**ked all of your lives up for the rest of your life.’”
