When Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana was asked if she wanted to explore the recently opened borders of Saudi Arabia, she exuberantly responded with a resounding “YES.” While visiting the region for the MDL Beast music festival in Riyadh that welcomed many of the world’s leading musicians, models, and influencers including former Vogue Arabia cover star Halima Aden and Arab it girl Karen Wazen, Fontana took some time between shows to bask in the rich culture of the Middle Eastern country and walk around the hidden treasures of the up-and-coming city. “Yallah, I’m ready to explore Saudi Arabia!” exclaimed Fontana ahead of her adventure-packed day.

As a runway and campaign model for some of fashion’s biggest brands, including Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Chanel, as well as a frequent fan of Arab designers, such as Lebanese-American Rami Kadi and Tunisian-born Azzedine Alaïa, Fontana is no stranger to style, with her describing her own personal preference of a combination of “80s and sporty together.” However, it’s not a hard-and-fast set rule for the Victoria’s Secret Angel. “I like to change as well, I like to be inspired by other women,” she explained. This seemed to be the case when walking the markets of the Kingdom, where she donned vibrant abayas and gazed in wonder at their embellished beauty. “I love wearing the abaya,” Fontana said in an elegant navy blue ensemble. “It feels so much like me.”

Watch the video above to see what she decides on first when preparing for a party and which was her favorite abaya of the day.
