Fronting the upcoming campaign for Chanel’s latest fragrance will be Australian-born actress Margot Robbie. Famed for her roles in The Wolf of Wall Street and Suicide Squad to name just a few, the academy award-nominee is already a friend of the house. After visiting Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment on 31 Rue Cambon in Paris, Robbie was regularly spotted donning Chanel designs both on and off the red carpet. Most notably was the Haute Couture gown she wore to the 90th Academy Awards ceremony where she was nominated for her role in the biopic I, Tonya.
Robbie will front the campaign for the brand’s upcoming scent Gabrielle Chanel Essence. A new olfactory interpretation of the much loved Gabrielle Chanel, this chapter promises a more ‘voluptuous and opulent, solar and enveloping’ scent, says the house. Olivier Polge, Chanel’s in-house perfumer, is the nose behind the fragrance. Working with four white flowers including jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, and tuberose the later, derived from Grasse will be the keynote. Launching on September 1 worldwide.
