Tara Emad is having a busy 76th Cannes Film Festival, and in the best way possible. The Egyptian model and actor has a packed schedule of red carpet and dinner appearances during the week-long event, and alongside it all comes an exciting new announcement: Emad has just become Chanel’s first Middle East brand ambassador for fragrances and beauty. “I am beyond grateful to be selected by Chanel beauty as the first Middle East Brand Ambassador,” she shared with Vogue Arabia. “I don’t only represent myself, I represent my country and every girl and woman that seeks Arab representation in the global eye.”
In recent years, the 30-year-old has quickly become a sartorial force to be reckoned with, as her public wardrobe features beautiful Chanel pieces that fit her modern, cool girl persona. Just last night, the Suits actor made her first attendance at this year’s festival while making a strong case for this season’s refreshing trend of shorts on the red carpet. The star opted for black separates from the brand, which came with a cardigan-style knitted top and thigh-length shorts—both entirely covered in sequins. She paired them with sparkling calf-high boots, and a mini Chanel bag.
Emad’s relationship with the brand first began as a friend of the house, which saw her sitting front row at a number of Chanel fashion shows, and even featuring in a Chanel Beauty Global activation. The cementing of this partnership with a new title comes as no surprise given that among the many attributes Emad is known for, her long mane of hair and glowing skin are two of them.
As the Middle East ambassador, one can expect the star to represent the brand and Arab beauty on a global scale via campaigns and product launches in the future. Until then, check out some of Emad’s best looks in Chanel below.
